My contribution:
Pen & Sword was my first attempt at using Unity and C# and also my first project in collaboration with non-programmers. The game's development was split into 3 main points, my focus was the shop and towers

How I designed the towers:
The towers themselves consist of 2 layers, a brick plot underneath and the actual turret. The turret can swivel around the brick plot and will aim towards the nearest object with the enemy tag within its trigger collider box.
The enemies are tracked with priority going to whichever one was first to enter the turrets range. In the scenario where multiple enemies are within the range of the turret, priority switches towards whichever was closest to the main base, similar to Bloons Tower Defence's targeting system.
There are 3 types of towers, each one having 2 of its own upgrades. The turrets can be somewhat categorised as such:

Simple - Towers that shoot a bullet that does damage on contact.
AOE - Towers bullets explode on contact, causing damage in an area
Effects - Specialized ammo causes enemies to be slowed, burnt or take damage over time.
